Engineering students are better time managers!!

Image
If someone were to ask me what the most valuable thing I've learned during my engineering studies is, my answer would be time management. Engineers often face a great deal of pressure, such as during internal and external exams, project submissions, and seminar preparations. The rest of the time is spent trying to balance the demands of academics with other activities and finding time for leisure. I have seen firsthand how this pressure can cause people to sacrifice their relationships, neglect their friends and family, and become consumed by jealousy and resentment towards classmates and college management. I have a friend who always aims for 100% marks on exams, because she holds herself to a high standard of excellence. But I have always wondered what difference it makes in her understanding of the subject if she scores 99 out of 100. After all, it is the teacher's interpretation of the answer sheet that determines the marks. Is she learning for her own satisfac

She is truly her angel !!

Twenty two years into her life and today she holds a B.E degree. Life is yet to begin for her in the corporate world and she is ready to take up challenges. There is one person she is grateful to; to whom she owes a debt that is not repayable by any means possible. Who is she? An angel in her life! Many times people who are not fulfilling their destiny will try to discourage us from fulfilling ours. Few people will try to show extra concern when we actually do not require it. Some of them advice and confuse us. They may not do it intentionally, but they will tell us what we cannot do, how things won’t work out. They will remind us of our impossibilities. This girl was not an exception and the same had to happen with her.  She sat starring at the walls thinking about the past when she was pulled into the present by this angel of hers. The angel said to her “The ability to believe in yourself, to believe that you have the power to make your dreams a reality is

Goals In Life!!

Image
Every individual has aspirations, a driving force that propels them forward in life. These aspirations can be short-term or long-term. The environment and upbringing play significant roles in shaping these aspirations. However, it is vital to recognize that a wish remains just that until it is articulated clearly, documented, and reviewed consistently. The reality is that many have dreams, but only a select few take active steps towards realizing them. Identifying one's life ambitions is the first step, followed by the pursuit of these ambitions with focus, motivation, and unwavering commitment. Ambitions can be self-centered sometimes. Goal-setting often starts with personal desires, yet it is crucial for goals to be specific, focused, purposeful, and quantifiable. Consider a scenario where an individual receives their first substantial paycheck and plans to spend it exclusively on personal desires, neglecting to consider family or friends who have also been a part of their j

Friendship at its best!!

Image
The value of true friendship is infinite and priceless. Nothing can compare or ever replace the genuine, caring connection between two people who not only understand, but want only the very best of all things in life for the other. It is a gift, it is a treasure. “A friend is one who believes in you when you have ceased to believe in yourself". This quote aptly describes the role that a friend plays in our life. Friends are the ones who are always there for us, whether the times are good or bad. Experts say, a person with good friend circle lives a longer and healthier life. They are the best medicine for our boredom.Agree, one also has the support of parents, lover, kids and siblings but having a good friend is a blessing. Friends are known to improve our immunity system. Apart from acting as a wonderful support system, friends motivate us and can also comfort us. Relationships provide us stability. They are an amazing source of relaxation. In this world where

First Impression !!

Have you ever witnessed situations where unfair judgments are passed based merely on someone's gender, ethnicity, caste, or even their dietary choices? Reflect on the moment you encountered your closest companions. Do you recall their introductory words or the initial thoughts that crossed your mind upon meeting them? There's a popular saying: "First impressions are lasting impressions." However, I often question the validity of this statement, as it contradicts my personal experiences. It's curious how individuals we initially perceive negatively can later become integral to our lives. On my first day of the pre-university program, everything felt new – new teachers, new classrooms, and new classmates. During a break, I walked to the cafeteria with some friends and saw a group of four girls laughing. I smiled at them, and three of them smiled back, but one girl seemed distant. I felt a bit disappointed and q

Importance of a Teacher in Student's Life

Image
Education is a powerful tool that gives us a deeper understanding of the world around us and shapes our perspective on life. It helps us develop opinions and viewpoints on various issues. Teachers are the backbone of education, and their role in shaping a child's behavior and future educational success is crucial. They work closely with students to guide them on their path to success and can be considered as nation builders. In many ways, teachers are like second mothers to their students as they spend most of their time with them. Just like mothers, teachers also provide care, love, respect and guidance for the betterment of their students. Throughout my life, I have had the opportunity to learn from a variety of teachers, some good and some great. I've found that a teacher's knowledge of the subject is not always indicative of their teaching methods, and some of the best teachers are not necessarily the ones with the most knowledge. Teaching is a skill that takes year

Special Person

We often become our own worst enemy without realizing it. When we struggle to get along with others, or when we are generally disliked or mistrusted, it's important to take a hard look at ourselves. Most of us have that one person in our life who we share all our secrets with. This person helps us see the bright side of problems, and can even make the sun shine on rainy days. They share in our small triumphs and are a source of inspiration. This person is an encourager, a listener, and someone who truly cares. We all have someone like this in our lives - a mother, father, wife, husband, sister, brother, lover, or friend. Whoever they are, we should strive to keep them happy, as they are the best people we have. They help us make the best decisions in our life, and often steer us away from the wrong path. We often take them for granted and don't realize the extent of their influence on us. However, when we start hiding our secrets or feelings from this special person, it&

Adolescence Problems

Image
Do you remember those school days when you would admire college students wearing colorful clothes and carrying only a few books? Many of us do. As a school student, it is common to want to grow up quickly and become like them. Students in the age group of 12-15 often see college as a symbol of freedom and fun while viewing school as a place of obedience and discipline. However, when they enter pre-university colleges, they realize that college is a phase of life filled with intense pressure, tension, and worry. The pressure is especially high for science stream students, but all students in this phase of life are affected. Teenage is a period of life when it becomes difficult to fully respect one's parents. Young people struggle between the need for dependence on parents and the desire for independence. It's common to blame parents for all the wrong things in life. Parents also get upset when they see their children going down the wrong path and may lash out with harsh words

School Days- the best days of our life!!

Take a trip down memory lane to your school days.  Close your eyes and remember those moments. You'll realize that school life was a journey filled with joy and excitement.  Recall how you eagerly awaited the start of the school year in June, and how, after a few days, the excitement would fade, but you still found happiness in chasing each other during breaks, having lunch in the classroom, eagerly waiting for certain classes like P.E, music, art, and computer class.  Remember the fights over window seats in the bus, or for stationery items like pencils and sharpeners.  The month-long preparations for sports day and annual day were filled with fun. These were the days of stress-filled exams and the much-anticipated holidays after them. Life was simple and happiness was found in collecting chocolate wrappers, stickers, posters and making paper crafts, rockets and pressing flowers between the pages of books. These were the days when Shaktiman, Superman, Batman, Spiderman and all suc
