The Race

"Winning horse doesn’t know why it is in the race. It runs because of beats and pains. Life is a race, God is your rider. So if you are in pain think God wants you to win.”

“The sharpest minds often ruin their lives by overthinking the next step, While the dull win the race with eyes closed.”

I'm Vihaan, and when I was in school, all I cared about was getting good grades and getting into a good science college. I thought that science was for the intelligent minds, and that's what I wanted to pursue. But as time went on, I realized that life is not just about achieving success, but about finding happiness and fulfillment.

When I was in 12th grade, many people asked me what I was going to do next - medical or engineering? But it wasn't until I was in college that I realized that success doesn't always come early, and that it's not always easy. I struggled to get a job, and I was always worried about what my relatives and friends would think of me.

But as I grew older, I realized that it's not about what others think of me, but about what I want for myself. I worked hard, and I was happy, but then one day, I attended a school reunion and found out that my classmates were earning more than me. I became restless, and I decided to work even harder.

I wanted to get married, but my parents had not started searching for a girl for me. But I made them realize and I got married. And even just before marriage, there is pressure from the society about the wedding venue, menu etc including your honeymoon destination. But I learned that you should not let people pressure you into doing things until you are ready.

I realized that life is a race, but what am I racing for? It's not for anyone else in this world, it's just to achieve my aspirations in life. And it's not about early success, but about finding happiness and fulfillment.

So if you're struggling, remember that everyone is in their own time zone and it's good to work towards your goals at your own pace. And if you've struggled for ten years, making mistakes, chances are that you will not repeat those mistakes when you are older.
