The Power Of Appreciation

We all know the powerful impact that appreciation can have on our lives. It has the ability to change a day and even a life. However, it's important to remember that in order to receive appreciation, we also need to practice giving it to others. I recently had a conversation with a friend who complained that her team leader never appreciates her work. I asked her if she ever takes the time to appreciate her team leader or teammates for their efforts. Her answer was no. This made me realize that in order to receive appreciation, we also need to make an effort to give it. Motivational speaker and author Jack Canfield states in The Success Principles that "a state of appreciation is one of the highest vibrational emotional states possible."
